Stephen Covey Richards (1932 - 2012) bio je američki pedagog, autor, poduzetnik i govornik. Njegova najpopularnija knjiga „Sedam navika uspješnih ljudi“ dosegla je milijunsku tiražu, a napisao je još uspješnica, „Sedam navika uspješnih obitelji“,  „8. navika“,  „Lider u meni“,“Jedno po jedno dijete“. Živio je u skladnom braku sa suprugom Sandrom i njihovo devetero djece. Bio je profesor na Jon M. Huntsman School of Business na Utah State University.
