ljubomoraLjubomora je strah da će nas voljena osoba prestati voljeti ili da drugu osobu voli više od nas. Ona postoji da bi nas zaštitila od emocionalnih povreda, ali često preraste razumnu mjeru. Ljubomora je prisutna u svim kulturama i primjećuju je psiholozi već u male djece od nekoliko mjeseci. Smatra se da je biološki uvjetovana radi produžetka vrste. 

Razlozi ljubomore

Osjećaj manje vrijednosti (inferiornost); inferiorna osoba ne cijeni se dovoljno i smatra da je njen partner vrednija osoba od nje. Uspoređuje se s drugim osobama i strahuje da će biti ostavljena. 

Osjećaj posjedovanja (posesivnost); posesivne osobe partnera shvaćaju kao svoj "teritorij" i smatraju da imaju prava nad njim. Ponašaju se zaštitnički u nastojanju da izoliraju partnera od okoline.

Osjećaj prenošenja (projekcije); osoba od svog partnera očekuje ono što sama čini. Kao npr. u situaciji kada osoba ugađa partneru/ici i želi isti tretman.

Razgovarajte o svojim osjećajima-objasnite partneru/ici kako se osjećate, što vas smeta u ponašanju partnera/ice.

Predložite stručno savjetovanje-u težim situacijama razgovor sa stručnim savjetnikom pomoći će da steknete objektivniju sliku odnosa, a zajedničkim dogovorom uspostavite pravila ponašanja u vezi

Pregovaranje umjesto prigovaranja-umjesto prigovaranja zbog nesnosnih navika, zanemarivanja i slično, pokušajte pregovarati o vremenu koje ćete provoditi zajedno i zajedničkim aktivnostima kako bi unaprijedili svoju vezu.
