Zbog obilnih kiša koje su uzrokovale poplave u mnogim mjestima diljem Republike Hrvatske, Hrvatski Crveni križ je 1. lipnja pokrenuo apel za prikupljanje pomoći. Hrvatski Crveni križ je 1. lipnja iz svog centralnog skladišta u Zagrebu uputio prvu pošiljku pomoći za područje Brodsko-posavske županije i to: 300 pokrivača, 150 madraca, 20 aparata za isušivanje prostora i 6 pumpi za vodu. Za područje Osječko-baranjske županije 2. lipnja poslano je: 600 pokrivača, 300 madraca, 5 pumpi za vodu i 3 aparata za isušivanje prostora.
